aLaBaMa

I went out to Alabama to visit my FAVORITE sister and my FAVORITE neice. It was a ton of fun. I wish that they could move back here so that we could hang out at anytime we wanted. Maybe some day. I can always hope though! Look how beautiful we all are!!

Here is Mya painting Mommy's fingernails. She does such a good job. She had to paint everyone's nails. In fact I need to set up another appointment with her so that I can get them redone. I can't believe how cute she is! She is just so much fun to be around. Oh I miss them so much : )

Haha spoiled child. This girl had more birthday parties in one year than anyone else I know. Here she is eating her birthday cupcake. She kept pinching the frosting to eat. She is a weirdo. She was doing that with the syrup on her pancakes too. And when we had powdered sugar doughnuts she kept pinching the powdered sugar.

We went to a place called Alligator Alley. We saw about 3 different ones. This one was just hanging out in the mud. It was fun. I was scared to go out there at first cuz one I am deathly afraid of alligators. Good thing I live in Idaho where there are none! It was so humid out there in Alabama. Such a different kind of heat than here in Idaho. It was cloudy the whole time we were there and Ashley said that it was a good thing cuz it is way hotter when the sun is shining. So I was glad for that.

Cute little Mya with her purse. Haha she loves those sandles she is wearing. She wanted to always be wearing them with all her outfits. And throughout the day she would take them off and put them back on again and again. She is so cute! I know that I have said that before but I just can't get over it! I loved being able to be around her and see a little bit of her growing up. It is sad that I won't be around her to get to see her grow up. : ( At least I can get pictures of her from Ashley and maybe some videos. I miss you Ashley!! I miss you Mya!!

Grand Targhee Ski Resort

This is on the way up to the ski resort. A nice view of the Teton Mountain Range. The second day we were out there we went up to the ski resort to play some frisbee golf. Little did I know it would be FRISBEE-hike-and-hope-to-not-lose-your-frisbee-in-the-tall-grass-GOLF. It was a fun adventure. Look at me, I'm being adventurous!! I tried to prove to Sheldon that I could be adventurous this weekend.

This is the ski resort. Sheldon said that all the walk ways were heated so that they didn't get ice on them during the ski season. Smart. I wish they could do that to all the roads.

Me throwing an excellent frisbee shot. You can't tell what happend after the picture was taken so I will tell you. The frisbee didn't even come close to the target. Pretty much like all the shots that I took that day! I'm no good. But it is a fun sport to get out and try.

One of the holes. This is one of the easier ones. You should have seen where some of the targets were located. We really had to hike all over the side of the mountain to get to the next target. Sometimes we had to guess where we were throwing because we had no idea. We also lost our frisbee a few times in the tall grass and flowers. So we really had to keep our eye on it the whole time. It made it more interesting.

Sheldon with supurb form. It makes him look like a professional. Which he is compared to me! No he really is good at it. I need to take him out more to play because he likes frisbee golf so much.

Two Years Together

For our second anniversary Sheldon surprised me with a trip out to Driggs, Idaho where we stayed in a cabin. It was a lot of fun. We went on a few hikes (short ones cuz I am not very good at hiking). It is beautiful out there. I had never been out there until a few weeks ago. The country out that way is just gorgeous.

This is the first day out there. We took a small walk out towards Table Rock. There was no way I was going to hike to the top of Table Rock. I am just not that adventurous! Maybe I should be, I don't know. But just the beginning of the trail was awesome. We saw a river rushing down the mountain. I couldn't believe how beautiful it was. The higher we got up the mountain though the misquitoes sure wanted a taste of our blood. They were EVERYWHERE!! I had to keep swinging my arms around the whole time we were running down the mountain. (this is giving me the heeby jeebies just thinking about it! Now I feel like bugs are crawling on me. Thanks for making me talk about it.) I couldn't believe that I only had 1 misquito bite when I swatted about 432 of them off my arms and face.
A view of the beautiful mountain.
The Mighty river rolling down the mountain. Pretty.

Poison Spider

I really wish that this picture did justice to what this landscape really looks like. It was really windy this day and the sand was all over in the air and you can tell in this picture that it looks really cloudy and that is just the dust and sand flying around. You can really tell in the next picture.

Beautiful

I don't know what this was about. Weirdo.

Self portraits with our jeep rental that Sheldon wishes was his.

Pausing on the trail. I thought he looked hot so I snapped a picture.

Arches National Park

This is the famous arch that is on the Utah license plates and also on the "Welcome to Utah" sign. We could have hiked out under the arch but it was 2 miles and we had babies with us. And yes I am using that as an excuse. I didn't want to hike all the way out there in my flip flops.

This is just another arch in the Park. I'm standing underneath it looking up. It is huge.

The side view of the same arch as above

The same arch yet again. I guess I didn't realize that this is pretty much the only pictures I took inside the park! Dumbo But it is gorgeous. I guess that I did take more pictures in the park but I didn't realize that the lens on my camera was not open all the way. I just thought I was really bad at taking pictures until I discovered what it was. I am sucha dork.

Fins and Things

Looking up the trail

Taking a break after a horrendus trip up the steep incline

A small glimpse of the beauty that is every where in Moab. It definitely is worth the trip out there just to see all the pretty rocks and arches.

Sheldon taking a dive

We all had fun, even though it was expensive to rent these awesome looking jeeps

Sheldon's Heaven on Earth. This is what he loves to do. Even after our "Blazer Incident" he still likes going up steep places. For me this was scary. I had a hard time going up the first rock but after that I think I did okay. Man this takes a long time to download a video.
